We are a little upset over here at P&C. I don’t feel like a whole lot of badass climbing has been happening lately. I mean there are a few things. Like that V16 that old guy did in that other country. And little Matt Segal sent new super scary and hard thing in Eldo recently too, but on the whole I feel like not too much is going on aside from Chris Sharma’s ever expanding list of 5.15’s going up in Spain and frankly it’s old news. Maybe I’m just uninformed, or there were a bunch of awesome things happening but I drank too much over St. Patties and forgot them all. Either way the conclusion is the same and I have nothing to cheers to tonight when I belly up to the bar. (more…)

A couple weeks ago, we showed you how to accessorize yourself to look like a seasoned baller boulder. Not to leave anybody out, this week we’re doing the same for you tradsters out there.
The stitch plate: this belay device was invented circa 35 B.C. Although belay devices have come a long way since then, as a trad climber its you job to inform the world that the olden days were the golden days. The easiest way to do this is by using the shittiest belay device ever made. |
